Just returned from a three day weekend - bus, to subway, to train, to taxi, to hotel. When the pack is loaded, it seems quite large, but does a good job of supporting the bag when fully packed. Organization is good as there are many different pockets dividing the backpack. I found the laptop sleeve which cannot be removed to be unnecessary. There is also a tablet sleeve which I haven't quite figured out how to use.
There so so much space that it's easy to overpack and bring more than what you need. I don't view this as a pack that I'd take around once I reach my destination, but rather a good pack that gets me to and from. A small (3rd party) packable daypack is still necessary. The smaller 35 pack might be better, but lacks the kangaroo pocket that the 46 has.
