Good for biking, but no so good for walking/hiking. The suspension and stiff hip belt make the pack feel bulky.
If you cinch down the hip belt, the shoulder straps start to rub because of the stiff suspension. If you tighten up the shoulder straps, the hip belt starts to rub. (This is while walking/hiking.)
As other have said, the dangling straps everywhere make the back look very sloppy .. you feel as if something is always hanging out and may get caught on something. You'd think someone would be able to address this after so many years of backpacks being made.
I do like the number of pockets, compartments, pouches, etc. It helps with organization and keeping things separate.
What would have been nice is a separate lower section so that heavier (or dirtier) things could be kept low on your back.
I bought this in hopes of an upgrade to the Osprey 22 Talon. In some ways it is an improvement - but the overly rigid shoulder straps and hip belt make it feel heavier and bulkier.
I don't think this would be a good pack to take on an airplane - it doesn't compress very well when needed.
