Flexible and sharp with finger grooves, just what I needed.

Any time I clean fish my hands will be covered in water, blood and slime and slick grip knives are dangerous. I've been using a flexible boner from my kitchen but it isn't flexible enough and this one is. The finger grooves help keep my hands on the grip where they belong. I like the knife and won't have another. Good product!

High Quality

I love the grip, very non-slip. Steel is the type that is flexible enough, but has a stop point so is not rubbery like some. Steel is on the hard side so tough to get a good edge/angle on in the beginning. But once you get it right, it stays sharp a long time and is quick to resharpen using that same sharpening tool and angle.

Coho Filet Knife as good as it gets.

This filet knife is the best I have found. The handle is comfortable and does not get slippery when wet, the blade is flexible and made of a high quality steel which holds a sharp edge well, the blade is sharp when you get the knife but does require additional honeing to clean up the cutting edge. The sheath is a bit tricky to use but there is a youtube video that shows you how to insert the knife to get it to go in all the way. I have bought six of the knives over the past two years and given them to my sons and other friends that I fish with. And the best part about this piece of equipment, beside being beautiful on the filet table, It is made by Texans right here in the U.S.A. and we need more of that.
