The Gränsfors Medium Carving Axe blends power and precision in a size that works for both beginners and experienced carvers. At roughly 90% the size of the original Large Carving Axe, it was developed with master craftsmen to deliver the control you need without the extra weight.

The axe features a long, curved cutting edge and ships with double-sided sharpening. You can also order it custom-ground for right- or left-handed carving, with the bevel positioned to support your stroke and keep the edge in contact with the wood.

The hickory handle is slightly thicker than earlier walnut versions—refined based on user feedback for better comfort during extended carving sessions.

We offer a 60-day return policy for unopened and unused items, for a 100% refund. Items must be returned in the same (or similar) condition in which they were received. Opened, used, or damaged products, or those not following our return policy, may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. We reserve the right to refuse returns in non-sellable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
