The popular class is limited to a total of 10 students over two class time slots and is all hands-on instruction from start to finish. Learn the Art of Blacksmithing and Knife Making
NORTH RIVER OUTDOORS carries hundreds of Premium Knives, Hand Forged Axes and Outdoor Gear. We're also offer dozens of classes like this blacksmithing and knife making class. Our most popular class is the Blacksmithing & Knife Making Workshop, where students learn how to forge their own railroad spike knife into many styles.
The workshop is led by experienced blacksmith Greg Campbell. He teaches students the basics of blacksmithing, including how to use a forge, hammer, and anvil. Students also learn how to profile and sharpen a blade on a professional belt grinder.
The workshop is limited to 10 students, so that everyone gets plenty of time and attention. It is also held in two time slots, so that students can choose the time that best fits their schedule and forges in a group of 5.
The Blacksmithing & Knife Making Workshop is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning this ancient art form. It is also a great way to create a unique and personal knife that you can cherish for years to come.
