Zero Tolerance Les George 0920 Flipper 3.9" CPM-20CV Stonewashed Blade, 3D Machined Titanium Handles

Based on Les George's Harpy, the 0920's design is practical, functional, and extremely clean.

The blade is CPM 20 CV stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. This powdered metallurgy steel is considered one of the “super steels” for its top performance, offering outstanding edge holding capability and corrosion resistance. The blade has a scooped spine, top swedge, and a slight recurve for cutting versatility.

The knife opens with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system for quick and easy manual opening with the built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert secures the blade open during use.

The titanium handle is fully 3D machined so that it fits and fills the hand comfortably and smoothly. Machined texturing adds grip and the bead-blasted finish contrasts handsomely with the stonewashed blade. To help ensure this big folder is easy to carry, the insides of the handles are machined with weight-relieving pockets. ZT adds a touch of subtle color with the bronze-anodized aluminum tube spacers and bronze-anodized bent titanium pocketclip, and a touch of class with the oversized pivot. Black-oxide hardware completes the 0920’s understated, yet aggressive look.

Great knife but TOUGH to open.

It is remarkably light yet sturdy. The blade came VERY sharp. The one complaint I have about the knife. Actually, there are two that are related. This knife has no side-stud to help open the knife, leaving you with only one method, the stud on the top of handle, right where you would expect it. That wouldn't be a big deal except for the REAL problem--it is NOT easy to open with that stud. After a few attempts, I had some VERY significant wear and tear on my finger. My hope is that it will loosen up a bit with use, but I was very disappointed at the out of the box performance in that respect. It's almost as if the leverage and pivot point was off. You have to apply the pressure in a VERY specific way to get it to open, However, once that is overcome, the action is smooth as butter. Closing is much easier, thank goodness, and the belt clip is spot on.

New favorite knife!

Fantastic knife. The pivot on this knife is one of the smoothest I've felt in a long time. Love the stonewash finish, really helps hissing scratches from edc use. I'm a mechanic and use this from stepping wires to a fine edge pry bar. I know sacrilege but believe you get what you pay for. This is quality built and have no doubt it will outta me.
