Like the rest of this series, the Filter is named for an automotive part and offers a machined look and smooth function.

The all-steel design really shows off the BlackWash finish we put on both blade and handle. BlackWash gives the knife for a unique "well worn" look, yet the finish isn’t just for looks. The coating provides an extra measure of protection for the metal, and the BlackWash finish helps hide any additional scratches you might put on your knife during normal use.

The Filter is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening for fast and easy one-handed opening. It opens neatly with the built-in flipper or thumbstud. A sturdy frame lock safely secures the blade open during use, and then closes easily for storage or carry.

The Filter includes our deep-carry pocketclip so the Filter rides comfortably low in your pocket for discreet carry.

My every day carry knife

My favorite EDC knife. Holds an edge well and is a perfect size for somebody with larger hands. It's heavy so if you carry a lot of stuff in pockets make sure you have a good belt. The only reason it's 3 stars is that the screws loosen up about once a week I have to tighten them up (or I guess I could locktite then), but I would expect it to not need tightening after only being a free months old.

Nice knife at a cheap price

I really like this knife. It's sturdy, has a decent balance, and a nice heft. Great edge from the factory, and an almost stonewashed finish. The pocket/belt clip works great in jeans pockets. My only complaint is the opening assist. Using the "Speedsafe" is a breeze, and a nice design. However, open the blade with the thumb knob can prove to be unnerving. My thumb falls to the sharpened edge of the blade as the knife snaps open. The speedsafe action is more fun anyway.
