TOPS Hammer Hawk Tungsten 1075 Micarta Tactical Tomahawk
With the TOPS Hammer Hawk, Leo Espinoza wanted to design a heavy duty tomahawk style axe that combines unstoppable power and eye-pleasing aesthetics. Each feature was carefully thought out, from the full tang 3/8th thick blade, to the high performance leather sheath. This is a hatchet sized tomahawk that can easily handle the work of a full size axe. The TOPS Hammer Hawk is a no-nonsense chopping and smashing tool that belongs in everyone's camp or survival gear.
This impressive tomahawk showcases a highly functional design with a unique visual appeal thanks to eye catching Native American spear design milling which also reduces the overall weight. A hammer pole offers enhanced functionality and the contoured Micarta handles make for secure and comfortable chopping all day long. This version comes with a head and tang of Tungsten Cerakote coated 1075 carbon steel and green canvas Micarta handle scales.
Brand new, direct from TOPS Knives.
Blade: The Hammer Hawk has a traditional bit shape with 4.25" of cutting edge machined with a beautiful Native American spear design for style, weight reduction, and balance. The +2.25 pounds provides plenty of power for chopping, throwing, or hammering while the generous choil allows for a close grip for control in fine cutting. A durable Tungsten Cerakote coating provides enhanced corrosion resistance for ease of maintenance.
Handle: The full tang is clad in thick, contoured green canvas Micarta for a durable and weather resistant handle that delivers solid traction in any conditions. The shape allows for multiple grips adding versatility with a large swell knob giving added security and control during full extension for optimal leverage when chopping. Two large, hollow aluminum pins are located in the swell knob for attachment of a lanyard for added security.
Sheath: Includes stitched leather blade cover and frog loop for carry.
1075 Carbon Steel: A simple carbon steel used by production and custom knife makers. Good toughness when properly heat treated at lower hardness and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
