Light weight solid EDC knife!!

I bought the Freek based solely on dimensions. After carrying an 800 AFCK for many years, I have recently purchased a number of new knives searching for a replacement. In Benchmades lineup the Grip is a bit too big for me and the mini I wish it was just a bit bigger. Well, the Freek is a tad bigger than the mini grip so I bought one. Size is just about perfect for EDC. It does pocket a little difficult due to the rubberized scales. That is the only downside to this knife. Solid, lightweight, butter smooth to open and close. Add good steel and a nice grip in hand, what more could you want. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the scales. However, the only issue with them is the ability to slide it in and out of pocket. In hand, the scales are great.

Nice size, bang for buck.

Awesome knife. Aesthetically pleasing, versaflex handles give a comfortable solid grip, but hinder sliding in and out of the pocket just a bit. Really easy to one hand open and close. S30v steel, IMO, is easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. This knife came super sharp out of the box, cut through some 1/2 inch nylon rope today with surprising ease.
