The Travel Berkey is our most compact system and includes the same powerful filters as all other systems! This unit is able to filter up to 2.75 gallons of water a hour (thats 20 bottles of water) when filled frequently. For normal household use, this system is perfect for families and has the ability to provide enough water for up to 6 people.
Years ago, before we developed the Travel Berkey™ water filter, before we offered different size systems, we were always asked why we did not offer a system that was smaller. Our customers pointed out the benefits this more compact size would offer. After much research and customer feedback we developed the Travel Berkey™ water filter to meet our customers' needs.
Because of its smaller more compact size, this water filter system is the ideal unit for traveling or for use in areas where counter top space is at a premium like motorhomes, motels or efficiency apartments. It easily fits into a suitcase or even an airline carry-on bag when traveling. The Travel Berkey's ability to accept up to two filters makes it able to provide drinking water for small groups of people or smaller families of up to four people. The Travel Berkey™ lid as well as the upper and lower containers are all made of a high grade, durable 304 stainless steel that is engineered to last a lifetime.
This water filter system comes with everything you need to start purifying your drinking water within minutes of assembly including easy to set up instructions with no tools or special knowledge required.

- 1.5 GALLON CAPACITY- The portable Travel Berkey System effortlessly filters water for about 1-3 people each day. The system is just 18” tall and 7.5” in diameter.
- FILTERS TYPICAL CONTAMINANTS THAT COULD BE PRESENT IN TAP WATER AND RAW, FRESHWATER SOURCES SUCH AS LAKES, RIVERS AND PONDS- Choose only Black Berkey Elements. There are no substitutes for Berkey performance and quality.
- FLUORIDE AND ARSENIC REDUCTION- Berkey PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements are designed for use in conjunction with Black Berkey Elements to adsorb fluoride, arsenic(V) and pre-oxidized arsenic(III), and other residual typical heavy metal ions.
- ECONOMICAL, LONG-LASTING- A pair of Black Berkey Elements lasts for up to 6,000 gallons before replacement is recommended, depending on the quality of influent water. Each additional pair of elements (sold separately) adds an additional 6,000 gallons of contaminant reduction to your system before replacement is recommended. Berkey PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements should be replaced after 1,000 gallons of use, under normal conditions.
- INDEPENDENT TESTING- Berkey Water Systems has used several independent third-party labs to test a broad range of typical contaminants found in freshwater sources including tap water, and has conducted Extreme Testing for lead and PFCs in order to show the effectiveness of Black Berkey Elements.

What are your shipping policies and how fast will my order arrive?
North River Outdoors offers free shipping for purchases of $99 and over within the United States (some oversized items may incur charges). We strive to ship in-stock orders within 24-48 hours, often the same day if placed before 5 PM Eastern Time. Standard free shipping typically arrives via UPS or USPS within 3-6 business days. We currently ship to the USA at this time. You can track your order status by logging into "My Account" on our website.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer a 60-day return policy for unopened and unused items, for a 100% refund. Items must be returned in the same (or similar) condition in which they were received. Opened, used, or damaged products, or those not following our return policy, may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. We reserve the right to refuse returns in non-sellable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer any services like knife sharpening or gear repair?
Yes! We offer a range of services at our Virginia store, including knife sharpening, axe sharpening and rehandling, knife/axe cleaning and conditioning, and waxed canvas bag/pack waxing and conditioning. We also provide laser engraving. Drop-off for services is available Monday-Saturday, with a typical turnaround of 1-2 business days.
