Kershaw 3650 Volt II Folding Knife SpeedSafe

I have been carrying this daily for a couple of years and actually just purchased a new one (lost my old one within the last couple of days). It opens very quickly and easily one-handed, and comes very sharp. Don't let the price fool you, it is an incredible deal for what you get.

You may need to sharpen a little more often than higher dollar knives, but if you just want something small and inexpensive for every day pocket carry, this is a fantastic little knife.

I did flip the pocket clip to the other end (just my preference), and the screws for the clip do get loose once in a while. That could easily be cured with a little Loctite, The screws for the seem to be T6 torx bit (what I always used, anyhow), but an Allen wrench will also work in a pinch. Just don't strip it out.

I bought this to keep in the tool box rather than as an EDC. However, the quality of the deployment and ergonomics compare favorably and in some cases beats the much more expensive "gentleman's EDC" I bought in the same order (the Boker Urban Trapper).

The deployment is super smooth and addicting to play with. I'm also impressed with the ergonomics which beats the Boker UT hands down (but cannot compare for style). The grip is nicely grippy and contoured to nestle well with your fingers while the thumb naturally falls on the rise and jimping at the spine near the pivot. It is also quite comforatable in a reverse grip. The spine is square with a very slight bevel or rounding...just enough to take the edge off (as it were). The impression is both of utility and precision.

The only thing I dislike is the clip. It is incredibly tight and narrow. I'm trying to flex it a bit to loosen it (I have yet been able to get it to clip onto my pants pocket), but so far to no avail. I'm not planning on using as an EDC and there is no need for a clip in the toolbox, so I might just remove the clip.
