C.U.B.

REUBEN'S GO ANYWHERE VERSATILITY!

A compact, lightweight blade capable of performing important utility, camp, and food prep duties, among others.

Reuben's go anywhere versatility

The C.U.B. (Compact Utility Blade) was designed to be a compact, lightweight sidekick to a machete/bolo/parang in the jungle or a tomahawk/ax in North America, capable of performing all the important utility duties of camp craft and food preparation, while leaving the heavy work for the chopping tools. With an emphasis on compact, keeping the total blade length under 4" makes it legal in most states and countries. I designed the C.U.B. with two of my favorite styles of knives in mind, a Finish Puukko (with a Scandinavian grind) and Kephart style knife. Put them in a blender and you have the TOPS C.U.B. - rugged simplicity!

-Reuben Bolieu

The C.U.B. comes with Tan Canvas Micarta scales with divot for bow drill, our famous modified Scandi grind, and Chicago screws for easy field removal

This particular knife was designed by and used by Reuben Bolieu. For more than a decade, we have watched Reuben as he has criss-crossed the world, going to wild and wonderful places. Impressive knife

I just received my TOPS C.U.B. in the mail today. first, I would like to explain how I rate knives. I rate the knife and the knife alone. I never keep the stock sheaths for any of my knives because, as many already know, 99% of the sheaths that come with most knives fail in comparison to the knife itself. Fortunately, with kydex sheath makers like JD at The 710 custom sheaths that problem is easily rectified. Now, onto the knife. This knife is perfect for many reasons. The size and belly of the blade make it the perfect utility knife. I don't even need to test it to know it will be an awesome skinner, camp, foraging blade. Its size makes it perfect for EDC as well as the smaller tasks required in bushcraft that your axe, becker, (or whatever larger tool you carry) just tend to mangle. What I mean by that is that this blade will be an awesome piggy back option to a larger knife or axe and if you carry it as an EDC no one is going to be looking at you sideways. The blade would have received 5 stars but it wouldn't throw sparks off of my ferro rod (Gobspark Armageddon) at all. not even a hint of a spark. Its nothing that cant be fixed with a sharpening stone. I should also mention that it is a sandblasted satin finish

A little expensive for the size but well worth the money

Outstanding knife. I use it as a companion to the Tops Tahoma Field Knife (which is also outstanding). Handle ergonomics and blade geometry make small bushcraft tasks a joy.
