The women’s-specific Osprey Tempest 20 is designed for high-speed action—either on foot or on two wheels. Quick access this pack comes via a zippered front panel that allows you to see all your gear at a glance. And the LidLock™ helmet attachment system gives adventure racers and cyclists an extra edge when every second counts.

This pack has a peripheral framesheet to transfer the load evenly across the Airscape™ mesh backpanel and keep you cool on the trail. The BioStretch™ shoulder harness and hipbelt are easily adjustable for on-the-go comfort. InsideOut™ compression straps add stability when you’re negotiating rough terrain at speed.

Shave a few seconds by using the zippered slash pocket, two mesh side pockets, or the convenient mesh front panel to quickly stash small gear you want to keep handy. The hipbelt has two zippered pockets for fast access to a camera, GPS or trail snacks. And there’s an external hydration sleeve for rapid reservoir refills.

Also on the exterior, you’ll find Osprey’s Stow-On-The-Go™ trekking pole attachment system and an ice tool attachment loop to hold your sticks and pick when you don’t need them in your hands.

Very handy, lightweight, comfortable pack

This is an exceptional lightweight backpack. For all but the very lightest loads, I prefer a pack with a waistbelt as I would rather carry the weight on my hips than on my shoulders. This pack lets me do that. The shoulder straps are adjustable in a way that lets me drop this pack so it carries low on my back, which is comfortable and avoids catching on low-hanging branches. The backpanel is also well designed for great airflow, which helps keep me cool.

There are a multitude of pockets which I find useful on a small pack. There are two small pockets on the waistbelt. I use one to carry my iPod.
The fabric is 70D x 100D nylon mini shadow brick for the main part of the pack, with the bottom and accent being made of 420D nylon packcloth.
