Zero Tolerance 0456 Flipper Knife Titanium (3.25")

Zero Tolerance and Belarusian custom knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich have teamed up to produce the 0456. The 0456 offers the premium cutting power for which ZT is well known in a knife with standout looks that are just waiting to be shown off.

Based on Dimitry’s popular custom knife, The Pole, the 0456 features the 3D-machined rayed handle contours and custom blade shape that defined the original design. The high-quality CTS-204P blade steel is wear and corrosion resistant and takes an exceptional edge. The blade’s premium quality is matched only by its good looks—with an appealing two-tone finish that’s stonewashed on the flats and satin on the grinds. The 0456 opens with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing system for a quick, easy blade release. A titanium frame lock, with a hardened steel lockbar insert, firmly secures the blade open during use.

The 0456 deftly balances handsome appearance and solid utility. On the appearance side, the pivot hardware, custom aluminum backspacer, and left/right reversible pocketclip are finished in a brilliant blue. On the utility side, the 0456 offers top cutting capabilities and excellent edge-holding performance making it the perfect tool to take along with you on any bold adventure.

This knife has the ultra premium CPM 20CV steel.

Better knife out there for the money

It was supposed to be an early bday present for myself, my first ZT since I really like the Kershaw Cryo, but for the money the quality isn't that great, is shinny and solid and all but the lockup on the knife is passed 50% after a couple of flips I can manually push it to probably 75% and the the blade stop have a 1mm-ish gap that no amount of tightening of the pivot can close it all the way.

Just a great knife!! Get it!!

it is simply a pleasure. It seems as though it was made for my hand. It feels very solid but because of the titanium handles it is very light. The handle detail is really cool and reminds me of art deco designs of the 1930's but still retains a modern look. The handle is really well made and finished. The blue screw, pocket clip and back of the knife are all really cool details. The size is really good as it is compact but the blade is no joke. Really sharp and I love the shape of the blade. The one finger opening system is awesome. The knife opens easily and securely every time and does not feel dangerous. Everything on this knife is well made and designed and the materials really fit the design.

It is an expensive knife but it is extremely well built, American made, and should last a lifetime. Unless I lose it or this thing breaks or can't keep an edge which ZT will sharpen for you for free it will be the last pocket knife I need to buy. If I keep it ten years then the cost is $24 a year which is about what I was spending yearly - probably more on cheaper knives.

My new favorite EDC knife

This knife nothing short of stunning. The blade shape is absolutely perfect for every day tasks, and it's made of CTS 204P steel - one of the best steels on the market today. The decorative milling in the thick, Titanium handle gives it great traction, and is incredibly sexy. The blue stainless steel pivot and pocket clip match the aluminum spacer perfectly, and add a great pop of color. If looks are your thing, it's a show stopper...but beauty is just the beginning.

The fit and finish on this knife is truly awe inspiring. Blade lock up is rock solid, centering is spot on (as always with ZT), and it came razor sharp out of the box. They've also done away with the double-sided pivot that was causing people headaches by coming loose. The lock-side of the pivot is a stationary hex bolt, which makes taking the knife apart for cleaning much easier as well. Love it.
