A tribute to early American Pioneers, when every-day living conditions were the kind we consider in modern times to be a survival situation.

The Overlander 2 is a great starter tool for beginners that experienced users will love as well. It is a simple, basic design that lends itself to many uses. Yet it's overbuilt and rugged like all TOPS models. The ergonomics of the handle give you positive purchase and make it comfortable to use while hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, and in tactical situations. It's size makes it easy to carry, conceal, and use in outdoor and urban environments. Overall, the user-friendly configuration of the knife and sheath make the Overlander 2 a great choice for a knife under 4 inches long.

The Overlander 2 boasts updated finishes with our Black Traction Coating and oiled Tan Canvas Micarta handle scales. Slightly thinner handles give this version an even slimmer profile that is just as comfortable to use and carry. When TOPS first developed the Overlander many years ago, there were samples sent to a Military SERE training center. The feedback on the knife was overwhelmingly positive, which is why the Overlander is still in use today.

Another great one from Tops

Great small knife. I carry this Overlander whenever I'm headed for the woods, and my main knife (the Tops Brakimo) is a bit too much blade than I think I'll be needing. And I feel comfortable doing that because this knife, though small, can handle anything I could ever throw at it if I were to ever get into any kind of trouble or something. I was a little worried at first about it having a 3/16 spine and being so short. I was worried that it would hinder it's carving and fine task abilities. But it really doesn't effect it in the slightest.

The kydex sheath it comes with is also really nice. Has a solid click when you slide the knife in, and there's no rattle or play while the knife is sheathed.

I'm not a fan of jimping on knives, it just usually doesn't do anything or it's too aggressive. And while I would rather this knife have no jimping, it doesn't really hurt the knife.

The handle on this knife is very comfortable. I was thinking that it was going to be too small, but it's not at all. I wear large sized gloves, and the handle is very nice. Somewhat slim, but no hot spots or anything of that nature.
