This unique professional pack has generous size to accommodate laptops in its padded retainer, yet is nimble enough to be rotated from back to chest. This maneuver gives on-the-go access to frequently used gear while carrying larger loads the rest of the time on your back. It's also more secure in crowds etc., and allows users to sit back in tight quarters such as ski lifts, or in vehicle interiors.

The generously padded and ventilated shoulder straps are also ergonomically cut for hours of comfortable wear per day, and it is covered in modular (MOLLE compatible) webbing to attach pouches for phones, etc. at hand's reach. Generous side modular webbing provides lots of expansion options and the thermoformed best-in-class moulded back panel provides variable rigidity, air ventilation, and a durable surface.

A drop-down fast access gear organizer can also hold an iPad® sized tablet like a shelf and the main compartment is lined in velcro-like fuzz for attaching dividers, patches or Hazard 4® holsters.

Good pack. Has many purpose-specific strengths that should be researched before purchase.

Good pack. Well made. Better for some purposes than others but can get the job done in most instances. I like the overall H4 quality and construction but there are a few things to consider for this pack. For clarity, I purchased my Clerk pack through TacticalGear.com because of the excellent sale price of $99 that was offered.

1. The horizontal orientation of the admin compartment can be problematic when trying to access items in the vertical pack orientation. Wish the admin section was designed for material retention/access in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

2. Waist belt is not removable which can be a deal breaker for some people. The belt set up is strong but permanent. The belt can be secured under the pack through the roll up straps.

3. I would have liked a small pocket above the heat formed hard shells for small items that have to be accessed easily but do not require hard shell protection (keys, change, etc.).

Hazard 4 Clerk Pack

This is my first Hazard 4 product and I must say I am very impressed by the quality and features in this ruck. My needs in a ruck/pack of this size include going to the gym, carrying guns/ammo to the range, day hikes, rucking with 30-40lbs inside for several hours, all the way up to a 12 or 24 hour long Goruck Challenge. So organization, durability and comfort were all large priorities.
That is where the Clerk comes in. I have used it as a gym bag, hiking bag, and of course rucking for miles with 40lbs or more inside of it. This ruck addresses EVERYTHING I don't like about my Goruck. The hard cases on the back are great for phones, snacks, or whatever else you don't want to get scratched and smashed (I can totally add softer snacks during a Goruck challenge without them getting smashed now!), the pockets on the side are great for water bottles (32oz Nalgene in the left one, closer to a 20oz bottle in the right one); I can organize the outer compartment for days with lights, knives, energy bars, whatever; the main compartment opens fully for easy packing; the laptop/hydration pocket is handy, although I prefer to not have a full bladder inside this part because it makes it lumpy on my back (I keep the bladder in the main compartment like most packs); the padded back portion is comfortable and dissipates heat well; the waist belt is very adjustable and helps keep weight off my shoulders (a must have for heavier weight); the sternum strap is adjustable and works well; the shoulder straps are comfortable and include hose keepers; the stitching and material are strong and I do not expect any failures without some serious long term use and abuse.
