Hazard 4 Sidewinder Pack
The Hazard4 Sidewinder is a unique pro-quality sling-pack that is generous in size to accommodate laptops in its padded retainer, yet is nimble enough to be rotated from back to chest. Common to all Hazard4 slings, such as the Evac™ series, this maneuver gives on-the-go access to frequently used gear while carrying heavier loads on the back the rest of the time. It's also more secure in crowds etc., since you can keep it in sight and allows users to sit back in tight quarters such as ski lifts, or in vehicle interiors etc. The generously padded and ventilated main shoulder strap is also ergonomically cut for hours of comfortable wear per day, and it is covered in modular (MOLLE compatible) webbing to attach pouches for phones etc. at hand's reach. Generous side modular webbing provides lots of expansion options and the thermoformed best-in-class moulded back panel provides variable rigidity, air ventilation, and a durable surface. A drop-down fast access gear organizer can also hold an iPad® sized tablet like a shelf and the main compartment is lined in velcro like fuzz for attaching dividers, patches or Hazard 4® holsters. An included but removable stabilizer strap keeps the bag from sliding forward when leaning (like on a bike) and a removable delta-retainer is included for keeping bottles and similar objects inside the side pockets of the Sidewinder™. Wherever and however hard core your work or play, the Sidewinder's got your back, and your front.

Great bag with lots of well placed dividers and pockets to keep things organized. Good padding in the shoulder strap. Swings around nicely to be able to access the content of the bag while on the move. Love this for traveling around the city as it's so easy to maneuver and reposition the bag depending on the situation - walking through the city, get on the train, need to find a seat and sit down quickly without taking off a backpack, instead you can just swing this to the front and take a seat. So many carry options: front carry, left shoulder, right shoulder, vertical, horizontal, carry with one of the 3 handles on the bag, etc.
Would have given it 5 stars if it had an optional waist strap like some of the Maxpedition sling bags. I usually carry a large DSLR with lenses and a few other daily travel accessories; the bag can get heavy on a day long trip. Since there's no waist strap all the weight is on one of your shoulders so it can get tough on an all day excursion, having an option of a waist strap to place the weight were it belongs when you don't have a need to swing the pack around to your front side would be nice.
Would definitely recommend for light/medium loads, cameras (and strapping a tripod to the exterior webbing), daily travel around town, etc.
I've been searching for months for a comfortable, decent size, and awesome looking sling Pack. Every other "sling packs" out there are way too small. The Hazard 4 Sidewinder s the size of a regular tactical MOLLE pack converted into a sling. MOLLE webbing in the front is set to be horizontal, easy access to attachments and inside he back with one quick and simple sling to the chest. The main strap buckle has a lock, so when you're out hiking, running, biking or just general use, you don't have to worry about it getting unbuckled on accident. The sides has too pockets, one for decent size items and one abbot bigger for water bottles or coffee mugs. This is my range and EDC bag. I have my lunch in here, first responder kit, tools, Gerber Strongarm with Sheath. I will not leave the house without this bag. This is by far the best tactical sling Pack out there, Hazard 4 did it right, 100%. Don't let the price stray you away, it's worth every penny.
