CRKT Ikoma Fossil Knife

Makes All of your Other Knives Extinct.

Brazilian genius Flavio Ikoma’s latest everyday carry knife looks like an artful prehistoric fossil with multi-colored G10 overlays and a hammered finished frame. He evolved the design from there with the IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system and a beast of a blade. The Fossil™ will be your knife that never gets old.

Great bang for the buck and feels great in the hand.

Very nice first impressions of this knife. By looking at the picture of this knife, you wouldn't immediately think it is going to be the worlds most comfortable knife to hold, but surprisingly it is very ergonomic. The edges on the handle are nice and smooth. This thing is also built like a tank. The stainless steel frame gives it a nice weight. Came shaving sharp and flips open buttery smooth. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because there was a blemish on the blade from the factory. Nothing major, just something to note. It doesn't matter to me very much as this blade will be and edc carry, but it may be more of an issue to collectors. That being said, this is still a great quality knife for the money.

CRKT Ikoma Fossil Knife

This blade is an awesome addition to any collection. It has a solid, sturdy feel, and the ball bearing system gives it a smooth deployment. There is no spring or assist, but it glides open and closed with almost no effort. It pleases the eyes and is interesting enough to warrant the purchase. Although it is stout enough for heavy work, it's appearance is too classic and cool to use for much more than showing off and light EDC tasks. I'd buy it again, and may just get the mini version as well because there's not much out there quite this novel without being ridiculous, flashy, or obnoxious. You know what I'm talking about. It's just a well-conceived and executed, classy knife that any serious collector ought to have around. Reasonably priced--a steal.
