The Titanium Drop has secured its permanent place in our product range as a premium utility knife with a good price-performance ratio. It was therefore high time for a smaller version compatible with formal attire. The new Titanium Drop 2 is now stepping into the footsteps of its big brother, transferring its virtues such as premium materials, low-profile design and high utility to a smaller scale. Here as well, 440-C steel is used for the blade, which in this case is opened with the nail groove. Backlock mechanism, adjustable clip (l/r).

A steal at $60

While this may not be the most impressive knife in the world, it is absolutely a steal at $60. If you're the kind of person that likes to carry small locking Buck knives around, but would like to step it up to some modern materials, this knife is definitely built for you. This Boker Titan Drop 2 compares closely with the small Case Caliber knives, but steps up the steel to 440C and the handle to titanium.

My only qualms with this knife, which are minor, are its pocket clip, edge, and final fitment. The pocket clip is plain bent stainless and easily doubles the width of the knife. It has a noticeable wire edge that will need to be stropped off. And, a screw in the handle wasn't fully seated and the blade was slightly off center when I recieved it in the mail. All of these issues can be fixed with a little time and a screwdriver (which is supplied). Honestly, for a $60 440C/titanium knife, I expected much worse.

Overall, I love it so far. The Titan Drop 2 has a great finish that is a little grippy and, once the pocket clip is removed, is so thin and light it's like there's nothing in your pocket at all.

The only think I would add to this knife is a simple thumbstud, just to make opening a one handed affair. It does, by the way, use a mid-lock system like Spyderco knives.
