The Gränsfors Double Bit Axe is a modified version of North American working axes, specially designed for axe throwing. Both edges are identical and the centre of gravity and handle are carefully positioned for optimal rotation in flight. This axe adheres to the regulations for competitive axe throwing. Although rare, it can also be used as a working axe in the forest, with the option of a longer 89 cm handle. As with all Gransfors products, the quality is exceptional; hand-forged using traditional Swedish methods. Each axe head is individually stamped with the smith's initials and the hickory handle is treated with linseed oil and beeswax for a smooth, water-resistant finish. The Gransfors Axe head is hand-forged from premium Swedish steel, honed, tempered, and annealed to the perfect hardness by skilled Gränfors Bruk Swedish Smiths who leave their mark on the head. A true masterpiece that will be cherished for years to

Awsome. Every man should own one of these. Sharp, well balanced. When you hold this axe you feel the need to chop or throw.

perfect

The Alignment is perfect
The forging is perfect
The grain is perfect
The grind is perfect
The balance is perfect
I keep trying to find something wrong with it because I just cannot believe how perfect it is. I don't throw it, I got it for a show off/camp site ¾ axe. It can chop like a machine, it splits well to.
I roughed up the handle pretty good and carved in some deep groves to give it a sure grip.
