Perfect hatchet. Great handle, well balanced, nice sharp blade.

I bought this a while back but used it for the first time recently. I love it. The handle shape, weight and balance of the blade makes swinging it feel very natural and secure, the blade is sharp and sturdy, and the way the tang protrudes behind the handle means you can use it as a wedge if necessary and strike it with say a big log and not damage the handle.

I even used the back of the blade to hammer in a few plastic stakes in hard ground. The metal is a bit too narrow for this purpose, but it worked.

All around, this is a perfect hatchet

Morakniv Outdoor Camp Axe

A little on the small side. Diameter of the handle is almost to small for my hands. Good fit for my wife who has small hands. Back of the blade is not usable for a hammer. Overall I would say great for meat processing but, not so good for general camp use.
