Great EDC light

This is my new EDC and I couldn't be happier with it for what I need it for. The beam pattern is food with a slight hotspot in the center. It has no problem lighting up a tree at 100 yards in pitch black conditions on turbo. Even though it's very bright, it can also be very dim on moonlight which is good if you don't want to disturb a sleeping partner or be seen at night on a trail.

Battery life is quite substantial, I use mine almost every day (for a few minutes at a time) and I haven't had to recharge it for a month. I'll be buying an extra charging adapter to keep in my get home backpack along with my USB backup battery. I love the deep carry pocket clip because the top of the light stays flush with the top of your pocket, I also like to clip it to my hat bill for hands free operation. The magnetic tail is sweet to use of you have something steel to stick it to that's opposite of the thing you're trying to illuminate. They make the right angle one too but an indexing head on this light would be flipping sweet. I wish the button was more flush because I have had it turn on by accident in my pocket a few times, I've just gotten used to using the lockout feature which only delays deployment by an extra couple of seconds.

Good light, bad clip. Tiniest cr123 in my collection.

Had this one day and I've been comparing it to the other edc flashlights I have from Fénix and Eagle Tac. Great light with easy controls. Love the memory. Love the turb. I think I like the skightly wider throw than the Fenix on a small light like this. Love the magnetic tail cap and recharger.

I miss the tail click switch but the side button isn't bad.

But... the clip is a pain. The angle and tightness is a pain. Fenix has the best and Eagle Tac second best clip. The S1 wants to rip my jeans getting it on and it starts to pull from the flashlight when I try to open it a bit to get it to slide. And the upper divet is also a pain. Minus one for the clip.

Olight S1R Turbo S Flashlight

Purchased this sr1 baton as an edc light.
Wanted something durable and small with a good range of light modes.
It did not disappoint.
The moonlight mode I've found to be very useful when looking for something in the dark while not disturbing others in the room, sleeping etc.
Plenty of light with a very even spill.
No hot spot like most tactical lights have.
Very wide beam when used outdoors.
Doesn't throw far, but will light a large path out to about 100 yards.
Charger is excellent.
No complaints.
Overall very pleased with it.
