Got the right tool but not the tool holder I wanted.

I ordered the leatherman wave + with leather sheath and received leatherman wave+ with a polyester/vinyl sheath. Model number sent 832531

A good balance between size & function. Great quality.

Very nice, complete multi tool. I've been carrying a Leatherman for a while now. For EDC, I had a Skeletool for a couple of years (still love it), then most recently got a Wingman and carried that for a while. Not bad, but not great either.

Enter the Wave+. Great build quality, everything is solid and aligned perfectly. You get what you pay for. Coming from the Wingman, the fact that the inside tools lock, is worth the price difference alone. Leatherman did a great job with their bit driver, and the blades are sharp from the jump. I'm going to carry this everyday for the foreseeable future.

Nothing is perfect, so a couple things...
1. Just sell it with the quick release belt clip, or have one attached in a different way. I would venture to guess that more people carry these in their pocket, than do on their belt. However this new sheath is pretty nice, and much better than past ones.

2. I like the scissors, but I would have liked if they were accessible from the outside when closed. Maybe the file could be inside instead? Like #1, this is subjective, though.

3. But, why the flat head screwdriver? It just seems like an after thought. You have a bit driver, with a decent sized flat head bit. Not sure why you need a dedicated bigger flat head as well. Maybe an awl would have been better there?

Anyway, all in all, I am very happy with this. Not perfect, but pretty darn good.
